OxyContin Killed My Friend, You Should Watch This Documentary

This has nothing to do with music, but currently deserves recognition. A friend of mine recently died. He overdosed on Oxycontin. We went to high school together and played golf every once in a while. Never before did I understand the seriousness of this drug and would like to share some new knowledge.

I've discovered some things about Oxycontin that are royally fucked up. Its too easy to get, way too powerful, and now causes more deaths from overdosing that any other narcotic in our country.  Sadly, pharmaceutical conglomerates are making hordes of filthy cash, while  people are becoming increasingly addicted to this drug. The drug is NOT being made in someones basement, its being distributed at pharmacies, prescribed to them by a doctor. Do you see a problem here? Everybody is making money off this situation except families that end up paying for a funeral. Did I mention the new war it creates for police, firefighters, and communities?  I can't find anymore words to explain the situation so I suggest you watch this documentary below. Please, if you or a friend has a problem with this drug, or any others, Find Help Here at Narcotics Anonymous.

Equally important, I just emailed Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. You should too. Ask what they're doing about Oxycontin Addiction.
