visual headwound
Now, while I'd say I can hang with the heaviest of metal, and have on more than one occasion been seen at the Comet, Funhouse and Studio 7, I don't like all of it. Too often it seems repetative, unoriginal, predictable, and just... what the fuck? Head Wound City in contrast to my metal, and general boredom, keeps my mind spiraling around and down like a bad acid trip that I curiously enjoy because it's so unstable. I don't know if these dudes have an album or what, so I've been reverting to the 'space. Radical Friends is a pretty kickass song if you can get past the almost full minute of distortion; the drums on that track are amazing. Michael J Fux feat. Gnarles gets pretty..... gnarly. ha. ha. It's a crazy beat that ends up in a blabbering of vocals and guitar picking; pretty rad rock out song. Favorite track on the 'space is, by a long shot, Prick Class which has this grimy guitar spinout mid song and your classic heavy metal guitar riff's to close it out; old school meets Monster/vodka swilling new school.
While I love them so, i'll probably never get to see them live. I wrote to their label, Three One G (Blood Brothers, Camera Obscura, Ex Models and more) confessing my love for the band; they responded that this band was never more than an awesome one time collaboation. They got together once, for a week, wrote some tracks, played one show, shook hands and called it good; these dudes are punk as fuck.Fuck yea.
sorry for all the profanity but these guys lead me to understand that cursing is totally necessary.
Fave track: Prick Class
