Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros hit the tour circuit this year with their first full length album, Up From Below. Basically, Edward Sharpe is this guy lead singer Alex Ebert's like, alter ego or some shit. Alex used to be in this kickass band, IMA RObOt. He broke up with his girlfriend, moved out of their spot, joined a 12 step for addiction, and created this dude, Edward Sharpe as a coping mechanism or whatever. Make a long and boring story short, Alex Ebert is now Edward Sharpe, tours the country with his hickster crew singing tunes, and created the amazing song, Home. I can't get it out of my head. It's like, hickster folk crack. Peep the vid and check them out, I guess, at the Sascrotch Festival. Hot and heavy pumpkin pie, chocolate candy, Jesus Christ, indeed.
