I love when a side project becomes a frakking smash hit. Enter: Broken Bells. a new indie-rock band that i wish could be from seattle, because the show reviews i've heard have been off-the-chains, Yo. From the underbelly of Los Angelos, Broken Bells is headed up by the Danger Mouse producer (Brian Burton, also the musician/producer for Gnarls Barkley) and the lead singer/guitarist for The Shins(James Mercer, legit). The album releases on March 9th of 2010, You can order here for MP3
update!!! - we were notified by a peer of the record label/artist, for a limited time you can legally listen to the entire album on their myspace dirt brokenbells.com
Another really cool collabroation is Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse with their album Dark Knight of the Soul. Really amazing songs with some featuring alot of amazing artist such as Iggy Pop, Julian Casablancas, and the Flaming Lips.
